Oh I had TrendMicro on my 1530...and it caused *nothing but trouble* for me...

So, I removed it..finally. :( And, installed Avira AV..and that was a FTW for me!! I will never, ever use Trend Micro..even if you paid me.

Use Avira, it's a great *free* app' :D

    Cin ;) :)

    Agree with Cin'.

An 18-month sub of TM came on my XPS laptop. I tried it for a month and it was problematic, unintuitive, and weak in detection routines. Needless to say I removed TM and went with the tried & true Kaspersky. Sorry, but I'm a disbeliever in the free AV apps.

Well i use Avast! Home b/c well it's free and it's never given me any troubles and also you have to sorta of register it with them aka product key and it's scan speeds are nice plus the resident shield and such so it keeps me happy ^^
and i'm glad that i removed it @.@ i saw it and was like is this thing. Uninstalled it but then wondered if it was even worth it. On the upside they gave me a lojack thing for a year :/ like i'll let this thing get stolen XD

Using Avira here, no problems so far. There is a paid version if you feel obliged to pay for your antivirus, or else the free version is quite excellent.
