I've become the family and friends PC fix it guy. I would like to make things a little easier on myself by running anitvirus, antimalware, etc.. software from a USB flash drive. I usually download the software onto a FD at home using my PC. When I get to the troubled PC I disconnect it from the internet by shutting down the router, install the software from the FD, and run it. What software would be recommended to run from an FD? All of the PCs I have dealt with are Win 7 or newer.
TBH, most of the time it's browser jacking that's the problem. I hate chasing those things down.

Avast and CCleaner. I haven't found a way to run those directly from a USB. Any tips?

on my system, I use Norton Antivirus Basic, bought it from Computer Plaza in Dubai for 50 dirhams, then I renewed it for 7 years. Yes, it's that light, it's that good, it's that simple! All I need is a good file scanner, no fluff, no toolbars, no software updater, no nothing!
For free, I recommend Avast Antivirus Free >>> Ultra Male's recommended method to install Avast Antivirus or Panda Antivirus FreePapusan, ben2go and VoodooChild like this. -
