Hey folks..
problem ahoeygot a friends XP machine which always gives me this "backdoor.tofsee" on my pen-drive. good part is my "malwarebytes" catches it when i check with that, bad part - avast doesnt. :/
How would i have my "malwarebytes" check any external media when it gets plugged in? like the way avast does.
i tried googling , couldnt find an answer which works for me :|

Afaik, MBAM paid does not auto-scan an USB-pendrive on insertion, the ' Flash scan' option (MBAM PRO only) does scan autorun.inf files.
Why not protect your USB-pendrive with something like free Panda USB Vaccine link and try to clean that friend's machine with MBAM? -
Paid version will do as Baserk mentions - will do auto-scans of the hard drive but not portable ones - only option there is right click and scan. Checked thru all the settings on the paid version - nothing for what you mention.
