    is this the result of my McAfee?

    For the past few months i have been getting messages across my laptop screen like:

    "Realplayer has stopped working"
    "Softsupport Container has stopped working" - actually the first messages if ever got
    "Internet Explorer has stoped working"
    "Microsoft Sync Feeds has stopped working"

    There were more but not as often but i did want to list as much as possible incase someone notices something.

    When i first got my m1530 these messages never came up. I had some problems with my McAfee to where I had to uninstall the program and have a tech issue me a new one to reinstall. this occurred twice. I believe these messages started shortly after the second install.

    recently i deleted my McAfee, doing the complete uninstall with the McAfee uninstall program located on their website, and switched Avira, free edition.

    I have stopped getting all of the messages except "Softsupport container" and "microsoft sync feeds"

    Anyone have any guesses?

    *I would really prefer not to format my system back to factory settings if possible

    McAfee is the worst Antivirus I have ever come across.

    It makes any computer perform at half its speed as it is a huge resource hog.

    Added to that, it misses alot of Viruses......

    uninstall that POS as soon as possible and install Avira Antivir which is a FREE antivirus but is one of the best of the pack

    Personally I'm a great fan of Kaspersky too :)

    But: KIS 2010 has a memory leak... :(
