Okay this is a phone that I might actually have to pick up... I'm going to wait to see how the processor benchmarks go but this phone seems pretty sick. $349 for a Mediatek Helio X10 octacore, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage plus an SD slot, a 6" 1440p AMOLED display (which from the video looks pretty nice), a 24MP rear and 8MP front facing camera, fingerprint reader, it looks pretty thin, and it has LTE compatible with T-Mobile except for Band 12 (which I can't stand anyway).

The only thing is the graphics performance... These Chinese chips just can't match Samsung and Qualcomm...

It's a phone by BLU.... :\ I'd stray faaaaaaaaaar away.
-
Yea I would personally stay far away from Blu. If you are looking for something new the Nexus 5 is coming out with a fingerprint reader.
-
The Nexus 5 is way too small for me. I'll have to see what Huawei cooks up with the Nexus 6 2015 I guess.

Some might say the Nexus 6 is too large.
I thought the next Nexus devices was going to be a 6" and a 4.7"? Huawei stuff isn't the worst, I hope Google made sure they actually built a good device... -
5.7 and 4.7... Its going to be difficult moving to a smaller screen.

Hrm, I guess the 5.7" Huawei would be semi-close. I just don't want a 2-4k display phone. That crap wrecks your battery life. Though I wouldn't really want a phone beyond 5.2", maybe if I switch back to T-Mobile, I'll get a OnePlus or another Nexus. -
You can always set the display to run at 1080p. The pixels are still there but the GPU doesn't have to work as hard.
I honestly don't want to give up my Nexus 6 at this point, especially after putting Adblock Plus on there... No more lag. I'm going to wait for the Snapdragon 820 in Q1 2016. -

Eh then why buy a 6" 1440p phone if you are just going to scale it down. As I said earlier, I think 1080p is enough for me. The Nexus 6 is...extremely niche. I feel Google went way too far to 1 end of the spectrum with the Nexus 6 and not having a smaller Nexus phone available. -
Good thing they're changing that for the next-gen. I think offering both flagship-size and phablet-sized Nexuses side-by-side is a good strategy. It also allows them to serve both the people who think "a Nexus should be cheap" and also those people who are satisfied so long as a Nexus phablet is substantially cheapER than a Galaxy Note or iPhone Plus.

Nice spec sheet with a very nice price tag. Too bad it's coming from Blu. I wonder which main camera sensor that is. The unannounced multi-aspect 24.77MP sensor in the Z5 family should remain exclusive to Sony a while longer.
Yeah, the Mali-T880MP4 in the X20 is a bit more capable than the PowerVR 6200 in the X10. Meizu's MX5 Pro is rumoured to come in a 3GB 14nm Exynos 7420 and a 4GB 20nm Helio X20 flavour. I'm not sure positioning the Helio as a higher-end offering because of a smaller performance improvement at stock speeds is appropriate when there's a larger node difference. Either way, the MX5 Pro likely won't join the bang-for-the-buck fight.
It is interesting how that's become the trend these days; offering two similar flagship devices where one has a mainstream-size ~5-inch display and another that belongs to the growing niche of at least 5.5 inches. Then there are two business plans: participate in the arms race for the value crown with slim profit margins or avoid it and position your product as a premium device. It would appear Google's tried and tested OEM, LG, will be responsible for a mainstream, high-value device, while the newcomer, Huawei, will make a niche, more premium-oriented Nexus. I agree that this seems like a good strategy. Whereas the Motorola Nexus 6 sure recieved praise from its following, it was a bold move to push the 6-incher for the masses. When even Apple has decided that it's wise to appease both one-hand and two-hand lovers alike, why shouldn't the historically more daring company, Google, also test the waters? -

I think it was a good idea. I feel Nexus products have always chased the mainstream power user being a contemporary smartphone (Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5). The the Nexus 6 blew everything out of the water by making the largest mainstream high end smartphone. I honestly would have purchased a 5" Nexus phone over my Sony Xperia as I did not like alot of things about the Nexus 6 (1440p screen, 6" phone chassis, small battery relative to the screen size, 600+ dollar price tag UNLOCKED, and now I dislike Motorola).
I don't think LG was ever classified as a "high quality" smartphone OEM, but I loved my Nexus 4. I loved the glass back, and the use of the plastics was fine. I'm not sure about the Huawei and quality, but perhaps with Google's supervision, they can push out a high quality flagship worthy of the Nexus name. I feel Google should have made the push for the last gen making 2 Nexus versions, instead of this generation. Nexus 6 was extremely niche and honestly EXTREMELY polarizing. -

BLU appears to be trying a little harder. The AMOLED display certainly hasn't been calibrated for accuracy and little thought has gone into the camera implementation, however.
