I actually might jump on the Nexus 6P bandwagon, once my Z3V goes off payments. I really want to get back onto a Nexus device, and the 5X is very meh. I'll probably pick it up late this year or early next year, once the new Nexus devices have been announced and the 6P goes on a firesale.

    I have a Nexus 6P since 1.5 months

    Mini review

    Pros:

    - No bloatware
    - Stock android is awesome, no touchwiz or any nonsense UI
    - snappiest phone I ever had, no need to even restart it or clear the cache partition every few days, it just runs smooth
    - Never overheats

    Cons:

    - Average battery life, even with Marshmallow's doze, with my moderate usage, I end up with 30% battery life by the end of the day, I expected more with the doze feature and its huge battery
    - Slipper as heck, as if they put oil on it, use it for 5 mins without a case/cover and I guarantee you that thing will slide off your hand and break into pieces, that's why I bought a Spigen Slim Armor case for it since day one
    - I thought having a Nexus phone is all about getting the updates /security updates first, well, you do get them faster than other phones but last month's security update only reached me by the mid of January when others were reporting they got it in the beginning of Jan, same thing now, I still didn't get the Feb security update. When I complained about this on the Android Central forums, they told me Google pushes the updates in waves, that's even worse, I keep checking my phone more than 10 times a day in desperation to get the update, so much for having the updates first
    - The keyboard, oh my what can I tell you, out of all the touch screen phones I have owned, this is the worst touch screen keyboard you can use, even after 2 months, I cannot type at half the speed that I used to type on my previous Note 5 or iPhone 6S, it's so not preceise and the spacebar is a hit or miss, I often find myself typing like this : hihowareyoutodayIhopeyouarefine because the spacebar is so thin. I tried changing the keyboard to SwiftKey, while it did improve the spacebar thing, it is super hard to get any accuracy out of it.
    - the stock Android camera sucks, I never knew what I missed until now. The Samsung camera is so much better, faster to focus, and has a much improved image quality
    - Too big for my liking, and I couldn't get the Nexus 5X since they don't sell it in Dubai and it's an inferior phone in terms of camera/specs anyway

I am selling my 64 GB Silver Nexus 6P as soon as I find a good buyer

Ahhh how can the 6P only have like 1 day battery life. My Sony when it was new netted me like 2-3 days battery life without doze. Everything else I can live with. But I do miss 100% lag free Android and non-nonsense Android.

Well I just uninstalled Facebook and Fenix and now use an app called metal which handles both and has a dark theme especially made for AMOLED screens, let's see how the battery is now...I'll keep you posted.

the lag free experience is like no other, even after installing all my apps and using the phone for 1 months now, not one lag, not one stutter, it's snappy as if you just bought it

I finally got the security update for Marshmallow 6.0.1 just as I was complaining to you about the delay in updates in my previous post :p

Mediocre battery life is a common denominator among most S810/808 phones; the off-the-shelf architecture is poorly mated with TSMC's 20nm process, making it ineffecient. Besides, 3450 mAh is good, not extraordinary, for a 5.7-incher in this day and age. I think many forget that Samsung with its Exynos 7420 sat at the completely opposite end of the efficiency spectrum last year, being the first to a more sophisticated 14nm node, instead blindly comparing battery capacities. The Note 5's similarly sized Diamond Pixel panel also sips less power than most other AMOLED panels, being up to 21% more efficient than the panel found in the Note 4.

No one should ever complain about updates on a Nexus phone. Google sends it on waves, boo hoo.

Learn to use your phone, it's not just a phone for the lazy. It's also a phone for the proactive. Google releases the updates on Nexus support site before ANY update is released OTA. And it takes a monkey to do the update. Nexus phones have more options than any other phones when it comes to custom options and is the first phones to get updates on those custom options as well. I'm hoping soon we'll have CAF options for Nexus 6P like we do on the Nexus 5.

Anyway, you don't have to wait on a Nexus. Often you'll even get a taste of the next iteration of Android via developer previews. No one should ever complain about updates on a Nexus.

If you search my name on AndroidFileHosts, you may find some goodies, I keep AOSiP and Beanstalk roms up to date for the Nexus 6P, sometimes with custom roms. You'll have to PM me for links to AOSiP, but Beanstalk will be public.
