Samsung Galaxy S10 Unlock Hack (WARNING)

The Samsung Galaxy S10 features in-display fingerprint unlock and face unlock. After some testing I'd suggest using fingerprint unlock exclusively. The simple hack in this video defeats the face unlock security. If convenience is your priority face unlock will work but understand the potential consequences. Which unlocking style would you use on the new Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus?

Has this ever been tried with faceid from Apple?

I'd just as soon use password unlock, myself. I'm hunting for a new phone, one of my criteria is a solid case like the Otterbox Defender -- with no hole in the back.

My fingerprint sensor on my iPhone 8 works great. Itβs a lot harder to cheat that system
-
Harder to break than an 8-character password?
-
Im not talking about an 8 character password, I am talking about face vs. fingerprint , which works great. No need to use passwords. But, since you bring it up, Someone has to physically touch you to create your fingerprint, Meaning they have to go through a lot of trouble to try to break into your phone. It is a system that is safer, but not slow, and tedious like entering 8 digits into your phone every time you want to unlock.Last edited: Mar 22, 2019

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original comment -- I was comparing a biometric system against a password. Slow and tedious doesn't bother me much; the fact that all of the fingerprint systems prevent fully enclosing the case is another disadvantage.

Life proof on my iPhone is fully enclosed. Speed and Apple Pay is two great reasons for touch unlocking.

I'm not going to be getting an iPhone, and speed can take a back seat to security and having a more solid case as far as I'm concerned.

Cool trick. Dont tell your girlfriend just record her face and boom
gotcha...
