Does the surface duo have all the "your phone" features that samsung has while connected to the windows 10 computer? I may get a duo instead of a note for work.
-
We're not even sure if Surface Duo2 will come next year. For overall package Samsung Note/S feels superior with very good support for Your Phone app.
-
I am not asking about surface duo 2. I am asking about the current duo. It has surface pen support, dual screens which will be useful for my business and as long as it has your phone support, I would rather that then the note.

Duo, read before buying :O)

the bugs have been worked out, android dev's are working with dual screen large screen devices now so that takes care of that, I will probably keep my iPhone for my main phone and use the duo for work related tasks. I see the benefit in it. For me, it would be a great device for having people sign contracts etc as it's bigger than a note, but not so big as a tablet that won't fit in my pocket. I have talked to people who OWN the duo, not reviewed the duo. The only thing I cannot find out if it runs Your Phone like a samsung device. If not, I will get a note and be done with it.

^^^ Am appreciating the duo concept\design quite a lot. But postponing any eventual parting with cash (even at the recent price cuts) before seeing what the MK2 will be. They are surely working hard on it, am expecting to see a good dose of positive evolutions.
Until then, cohabiting very nicely with a Note 10 (lite, the note with that excellent flat screen). Fast and responsive on a11 & 1ui3.1, a sturdy tool.kojack likes this. -
You have the lite? how is it overall. that's another device I am very interested in.

Note 10 lite, daily use for 8 months, zero problems, 100% stable. Extremely happy for a price around 450 usd at the time. Monthly security updates + Android versions for some years to come. Somewhat dated processor. not for gaming. With animations off it's quick as anything. 2 sims alt 1 sim + mem card (would have prefered a dedicated card slot). Love the flat screen, good luminosity. Battery life excellent here, very low standby \ night time drain. Fast charging if one wants. Am using a low A, believing it's best for battery life.
Camera is an excellent allrounder, wide, normal and 2x. Night mode works well. Fingerprint is fast (after the latest updates). Pen works fine, using it for much more than planned for. Network sensitivity maybe not up there with the best, but no serious weakness. Excellent phone for mobile hotspot (using that a lot). Never used win10 your phone (no MS account), assuming it is working as it should. Using Smart Switch for backups to pc. Audio jack!
Then it's up to comparing with non-lites, see if one would miss any features vs price, f.ex. the lite is missing video out from usbc.
A realistic review from some time ago (since then got new android, ui, improvements to camera, fingerprint and more).

Thanks, sounds like exactly what I want. I want a pen enabled phone for work. I recently had a job land in my lap. I will be selling real estate here and running a property management company as well as my marketing and imaging company. the note will provide me a sign anywhere device for clients. Then connect with your phone back at the office to transfer files easily to and from the phone, as well as make calls and messaging on my computer screen.

Compared to my iphone 11, how is the ultra wide camera? I need the ultra wide for work, so it needs to be really good.
-
No idea :O) Can only say am happy with the Lite's cam. The wide has good resolution (in my opinion), with a very able auto-straightening for edges = useable for buildings \ interiors out of the box without post processing.
The Notes at 2 or 3 times the price can \ should maybe be better is some areas, personally not looking for anything else than what the Lite offers.
As mentionned, the flat screen is a big plus here, expecially for pen use. & got some nice edges protecting the front display + no stupid glass at the back, so should survive lots more (mis)handling than the ridiculous curved display \ glass rear models. Using a wallet cover in addition.kojack likes this. -
I noticed the auto straightening in the videos I was watching this morning. It's awesome actually. I think I am going to get one. I just moved my ipad last night so I will be getting a new galaxy tab s6 lite 128gb for work as well as the note 10 lite.

"A great value and definitely recommend it" (I agree to that :O)

Well, as much as I love the new budget devices from samsung, I am stuck on apple for the time being. Our new ride only has apple carplay. They left the android auto out of the system. Arrgggh. That sucks. The car is really cool though. It will also save us enough money to pay for lots of new cameras and stuff as well ha ha. We are inking a deal on the new Toyota tesla lite. The Prius Prime. I want an EV, but I have massive range anxiety because of my work. I could be putting more than 900-1000kms on in a day. EV no good for that. But for style, electronic cool factor inside, and daily running around it's just as cool as the 3. No it's not fast, but I am old now and I am past that silliness.

Getting rid of old stock full of cobwebs? duo 50% off, wait a little longer they'll probably give people money as only means to have someone want one :O)

Surface Duo interact with windows 10 like samsung devices do?
