I have been fixxing to upgrade my laptop Satellite L975D-S7332.

I would like to know what would be THE... best processor for maximum performance

But something that wont hit my pocket too hard at the same time. im willing to take the hit if needed to on a high cost. but alas i would just like to get an idea of where i stand on upgrading.

You better write here your laptop's configuration or direct link for your model. Even google never heard about this laptop.

Your current CPU is Trinity AMD. Every Trinity should work like A8-4500M or A10-4600M. However all these AMD CPUs are so weak... I know that usually Trinity can be replaced with next year AMD successor Richland like A10-5750M or A8-5550M. However I can't give you 100% guarantee that your laptop will work with it . Perhaps you will need to update BIOS.

So long story in short: your current A6 is ~junk. You either buy 4500M or 4600M. Depends on how long you want to stay with your current CPU.
