Just thought I would give folks a heads up on this ... Toshiba has a 12 cell battery available for the following Toshiba laptop models:
Satellite L515, L515D, M500, M505, M505D, T115, T135, U500 and U505 series; Satellite Pro T130 and T110 series portable Computers
It is advertised as being potentially able to get up to 15 hours battery life on select models (prolly in super power saver mode).
Here is the direct link to the Toshiba site on this battery: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/adet.to?poid=435195
On amazon.com the same battery (same model number) is available atm for 30 dollars less with free shipping as well.

Okay - I was able to run a few tests with it ... I was able to get about 13 1/2 hours of battery life with it in "super power saver mode" ... which is screen dimmed to the max, wireless off, and only doing things like look at image files and/or do simple typesetting. Still ... 13.5 hours is very satisfactory in my book!

If it's not too much trouble, could you post a pic of your laptop with the big battery installed?

Hmm ... I can ... you want to see how much the laptop is lifted up from the table by the battery proper I take it?
Unfortunately I am getting ready to go to Japan at the moment (leaving on Thursday afternoon) but when I get to Japan and settle I should be able to do this.
I have tested both of the batteries in the machine by the way. Both are able to regularly get around 13 1/2 hours of life. Very sweet! -
I wouldn't mind getting a 12 cell for my T115D-S1125, my question is how much higher will the back of my computer sit. ToshibaDirect shows it to be 1.71" high, how much higher would the back of my computer sit? Any pictures?

As far as I know the models of the T115/T135 with the letter D after then are the amd cpu's ... the ones without the D are intel cpu's. Mine has an intel cpu in it - a Celeron 743.
Broadly speaking the amd cpu's give a little more horsepower while the intel's give longer battery life. For me personally battery life holds priority over the other.
I believe the amd cpu machines are generating about ... 6 hours max with the same 6 cell battery? So with the 12 cell maybe it could get somewhere from 9-10 hours max? Just rough guestimations, mind you. -

But as a rough guess, I would say that the distance from the table to the top of the back part of the laptop where the screen hinges meet the main part of the machine might almost be two inches. -
I get nowhere near 6 hours of battery per charge, but I like to be able to see the screen too.
At Toshibadirect.com, it shows the 6 cell battery at .81" high and the 12 cell battery at 1.71" high, so wouldn't the back of the laptop sit about an inch higher in the back?
One more question, with the battery pushing the laptop higher in the back. Do little rubber feet come attached to the battery to keep the computer from slipping around? -

Mycanid.
Thank you very much for your informative posts. My 12 cell battery will be here some time next week. I'm hoping to get 6-7 hours out of each charge. -

I called J&R Music in NYC and asked what the best deal they could make on the battery for a T115D, got mine for $109 and free shipping. That's about the best deal out there.
