You can buy an Car/Travel charger, or buy a power inverter.

power inverter is way better? I'd have thought the direct 12V charger would be better.... but I have neither yet, but am about to buy one as well, so curious on your thoughts.... thanks

A power inverter is $30-50 and guaranteed to work. An adapter is usually $100+ and you may have to look around for a compatible one.

As long as your cigarette lighter can handle the amperage, then a power inverter is fine. I can't use my X205 in my car because the power inverter needs ~20 Amps of 12v DC coming from the cigarette lighter, and the circuit is only rated for 10. If your laptop is beefy then you will need to hardwire a power inverter to your battery, but if your laptop is in the 65-90w power adapter range then your cigarette lighter should be able to handle it.

I wish you posted this a day earlier there was a deal on Woot.com for two power inverters for like $12 or somthing.

Anyway, a power inverter is fine. You can buy them at Radioshack.
    150w will be enough.

This is a nice one... It looks like it has a big ass fuse in there to protect against power surges which is awesome.
