its only with a 9700m gts right now, not worth it. size and weight suggests its made for a 9800m gtx. eta for that is sept. now that the olympics are over, its time for china to fire up those factories it had shut down so we start seeing all the neat products.

Anyone know when the new models should be out? I have an X200 I wanted to sell for a new Qosmio X305, but with that CPU and poor GPU it is not even worth it. Any ideas what the price will look like on the bigger models?

The 300X series short and sweet great performance with the GTX when it's coming out .9700M GT is good but nothing like the GTX.
Went to BestBuy to check it out (X305)
Screen looked washed out OK but not the greatest, resolution for that model is only 1400X900.
Look: awful, if red flames are your thing you will love it but Toshiba dropped the ball for not offering maybe a plain black lid for it.
Layout was stupid with your hand covering one of the great speakers when using the touch pad.
Touch pad felt and looked very cheap and had a weird texture on it.
Over all great performance if you get the GTX model that comes with a better screen, I would skip on the X305 with the 9700M GT, you could get better for the money( Gateway 7811-FX)
Felt to cheap and like a toy.IMO.
And BestBuy had the GTX model listed at 2200 or 2300.But since it's not on sale yet they could list it for more or less when it's available again, as in when it's for sale ??
Never had a DELL so can't really comment on one other than saying the M1730 is way over priced.

ya dell 1730 is too big and heavy. its built to accommodate SLI 8800 gtx. waste of money. even now on dell's website its a cool $1000 upgrade over a 8700gts. toshiba's bumped up model has the extreme processor, bigger HD, better screen rez., and the 9800 gtx 1 gig model :err: . didnt know it was a 1 gig card.
the lappie i would like to see right now (realistically) would be very similiar to the gateway 7811. except at least a 9800m GT, better build, no stability issues and good price (1500-1800). wake up dell, toshiba , hp

The screen requires some tweaking through GPU manager, but once done, looks top notch as I understand it.

    the X305-Q701 is a 9700GTS, not a 9700GT.
