Is it just the connector that is missing or is other part further down missing?
    Eg controller resisters etc

I suspect if you can get the connector and fasten it to the motherboard, you will be able to add another HDD. I also am looking into this. I think it is screwed on, but you need to remove the board to put the screws in.

The controller is the same one that runs the primary hard drive, but there may be some resistors or capacitors missing as well that would normally complete the circuit but that is just speculation and none of us know for sure. :p

There is alot more than just the connector missing. There traces that run to that connector are missing as well. Dont even try to install a connector there.

I've looked at this on a number of newer Toshiba models and Toshiba has made SURE that no one will be able to monkey around with the board and install a second HDD.
