Clocked on various ocassions, from pressing on button (laptop is off and not restarting from hibernation or suspension), to laptop going into hibernation at 2% critical battery level, using the maximum energy saving mode.

This is with wifi on and surfing the web.

Hdd shuts off after 1 min, display brightness at minimum.

Battery was manufactured at least 4 months ago and is the 9 cell official Toshiba unit supplied with the laptop.

Laptop has 2gb memory and the Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, running Vista basic.

Just want to add that this means the laptop is using approx 18 watts, which seems to be a very reasonable number, given that just the processor has a tdp of 35 watts, iirc. These Core 2 Duos with speed stepping really reduce their energy consumption.

By the way, display is 1280x800, and the wireless adapter is the realtek rtl8781lb, not the intel one.
