    did you guys get the dual mode of your touch pad to work? if so, how? i would like to adjust my volume on the fly like that

    I did install the touchpad driver (the one that is listed at the Toshiba site) simply to "de-sensitize" the touchpad. My thumb would touch it when typing, and delete everything. That all worked fine, but I haven't tried the multiple zone setup. I have no need for it, but maybe I'll take a look when I get time.


    *****just tried it, yes it works in XP. Just install XP, then install the Synaptics driver. You can choose what each button does. My is set to be really UN-sensitive (I use an external mouse most of the time), but it does work just like in Vista
