Hey, I have bought a Toshiba A100 brand new with quality seel. Charged it up fully and I let it run on the battery in the 'normal' mode from the power saver utility.
It gave me only 1:13 hours of battery life!! I concider this incredibly low as the manual says I should be getting arround 2:30 - 3:00

Then I changed it to 'power save' mode and tured off Wi-Fi and that gave me 1:38!

    Howcome?
Am I doing something wrong? Is my Toshiba bad?
The rest works wonderfully, no dead pixels etc.

    Kuba.

How bright is your screen? Also, do you have a lot of background programs running in the background?

It is possible that Toshiba may have given you a defective battery. If the problem persists, I would contact them for a replacement.

    I have the same problem.
All I am doing is surfing and I get about 1:45.
The battery is suppose to last 3Hr.
Is there a way to check battery quality,

Not all notebook systems get great battery life. It depends on a number of factors, actually. Estimated battery life is almost always on the high side for most manufacturers as well.

You may want to contact Toshiba and see what they have to say about it.

make sure that you break into your battery when its brand new, when i got my a100 in end of Jan, the battery would only last less than 2hrs, charge and discharge ur battery a few times after i did that i can get 4hrs
