I'm looking for a 15.4" laptop suitable for midlevel gaming. I was looking at toshibadirect and saw that you could customize an A100 with either a 128mb dedicated nvidia 7300 or a 256mb dedicated 7300. Does this mean that the second one does not utilize turbocache, and if thats so how does it stack up to say an HP dv6000t with a nvidia 7400? Thanks for the help.

The 7400 is the upgraded version of the7300. But for mid-level gaming, you should seriously consider the 7600 or X1600 from ATI.

thanks for the advice, I'd love to get a 7600 but its hard to find in the mainstream 15.4" laptops. Maybe I should have specified basic gaming. But I was actually more interested in whether that was a typo/mistake on the toshiba website or are there two different versions of the 7300?

A100-SK9 = nVidia 7600. I've got one and its a good laptop, as long as you don't mind glossy screens. Core Duo 2500, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, etc. Definitly don't buy straight from Toshiba, its a horrible deal. Get it from Costco or Best Buy (they had it going for 1499.99 Canadian for a while).
A100 Graphics card options?
