I have looked across many forums and posts and have not found anything regarding this issue.

A friend just bought an A100-172. It has a problem coming out of standby. If the unit is put into standby, it will not wake up by pushing the power button, the LED continues flashing amber and nothing happens. If i plug in the power adapter then it will wake up. I can then remove power and use it normally. It will go into standby while on battery without problems.

I also notice that in the power management software, it does not show any data about remaining battery power or hibernate of standy times.

    Anybody have a solution?
