    Great disassembly guides!

My question is: how much disassembly do I have to do just to replace my CPU on the Satellite A105? Do I have to do all 17 or 18 steps leading to that in the disassembly guide or can I just remove keaboard and surrounding fascia to be to the CPU socket?

    Thanks!

    Update:

I went ahead and followed the disassembly guide in order to upgrade the processor (T2060 to a T2450) in my A105-S4074. On power-up, the power light comes on, the hard drive clicks a couple of times as does the DVD drive, but that's it. No video, no beeps. No joy.

    Can anyone help diagnose?

    Thanks

I see that this thread is almost a year old, I wonder, did you ever get this problem fixed?

    I am contemplating a CPU upgrade on a A105-S4001.

Would like to know how you made out.
