    A105-s2051 resets when i try to upgrade the ram!?

    I have an 105-s2051 when ever i can put the "stock" ram in (512 mb ddr2) and a stick of ram (1gb ddr2) she boots just fine.. i try to replace the 512 stick or take it out it just keep resetting! i got two gigs of ram to put in there! please help!

    Reset in the sense, that it does not POST.

    sorry what?

    it resets, before i can even load the bios, no "toshiba" screen or anything...

    Power-On Self Test -- Small digits/characters appear on the screen giving details of the initiated hardware. Do you see that ?

    Does some Toshiba screen come up or the screen just remains blank ?

    Have you tried to load, with a single 1GB module installed ? <-- (Tried this with both the modules ?)

    no screen loads

    i have tried every combination i can think of i have a few laptops that i have used the memory in and out of.. they are fine i checked them..

    so 3 sticks of 1 gb ram and 1 512 gb stick... none of them will boot together or by themself to boot the system, the 512 mb stick must be install with any of them

    Check if there is a BIOS update.
    Updating the BIOS could fix these faults.
