A135- XPRESS 200 IS 667MHz DUO CORE COMPATIBLE!!!!

    I purchased a T2500 2.0GHz Core Duo off Rapebay.

Installed it today in my A135-S2246 Celeron 430 1.73Mhz.

BAM BOIS show 2.0GHz Core Duo on boot.
BAM the CPU-z shows bus is up from 133MHz to 166MHz
CPU-z shows the Core Duo running full 2.0GHz

    Bottom line <$500 a Core Duo 2.0Ghz running 667MHz FSB & 2GB DDR2 667MHz

    I can't believe it! I can't believe it! I can't believe it! I can't believe it!
    CPU-z link verified

Still, your Ati Xpress 200 gpu rapes your system :p

Make sure you have some Arctic Silver 5 or halfway decent thermal compound on your processor to make up for the hotter temperature output.

Actually its better than the intel 9xx IGP

Computer makers don't put core duo with ATI IGP because it to advertise Centrino Duo on the PC requires a intel GPU on the MOBO.

I realize that obviously, but if you are looking for better performance your GPU is going to be your system bottleneck.

Just to make sure, is it really socket m479, or is CPU-Z lying? =X I want to know before I consider upgrading.

Celeron M 4xx, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo are all socket m479. They have 478 pins but the socket is called m479 or socket M. Intel did this to not confuse the older P4 478 socket with the newer celeron-core duo 478 socket. Although all it did is confuse people.

You probably knew all that, but for the sake of the forum I thought I would expound.
