    A135-s2246 ram problem

    I recently purchased this model of toshiba a135-s2246 which came with 512 ram only. when i added another 512 ram it still shows 512. If i add another 1 gb it still shows 512. If i only add the 1gb ram removing the 512 then it's 1 gb showing. Why it's not taking two 512mb or 1 512+ 1gb together? is there any bios settings?
