This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     A205 won't read all CD/DVD

    I bought a new Toshiba Satellite A205 earlier this month and as of today, I am having some trouble getting it to recognize some CD/DVDs. I go to try to install some software from a CD and it thinks it is a blank disc. The disc will install on another computer in the house just fine. Has anyone else run across this problem?
