    A205-S5814 Downgrade to XP - Need LAN driver

    I have downgraded my A205-S5814 from Vista to XP Pro. I only have a few issues left (I think ;) I did not note the LAN driver before the rebuild. Does any one know the LAN driver for this model? I have tried several Realtek drivers with no luck. I also have a "SM BUS CONTROLLER" still in the unknown devices. From what I read it's part of the Intel chipset. I believe I have the right driver from Intel for the GM965 chipset family and I'm not sure it's causing any problems. Lastly, the DVD writer causes errors in the "Toshiba Disc Creator". It may be the application as I loaded it off the recovery disk built for Vista. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Do you think you could zip all the drivers and upload them somewhere? I'm doing the same thing, and I can't seem to find the wireless driver. I did download the driver package from the one link you stated, but sound drivers and WI-fi drivers don't work. Any help will be appreciated.

    hi can some one help me with my new toshiba A205 5804. i have downgraded the laptop to windows XP and my screen is quite birght and which is acting on my battery performance. i tried adjusting the brightness with Function key and F6 and F7 but it doesnt work. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME IN THIS. this will enable me to have a bettery batterytime to work for long especially when iam travelling. would appreciate if someone could help me in this regard.

    Question for you. I have aA205 5804 and I'm trying to downgrade as you did. The problem is that my XP CD does not recognize the harddrive and I don't have third-party drivers.

    How did you get XP on that box?

    you need to intergrate Raid drivers into the xp installation
    for that, theres a tutorial on it on the toshiba website, search around a bit
