Why is it my A205 is burning my legs, yet the CPU isn't hot? I have never noticed it being hot in all the time I had it, until recently. This is driving me nuts as the CPU is still ~48C.

download hwmonitor, it will tell u temps of everything.

once done, open the program and minimize it. use your computer for whatever you were doing when it got hot for 10 minutes, then look at the max temps.

What about the GPU, or Northbridge?

Could be a faulty GPU or motherboard, which could be causing it.

It only told me the hard drive, and my laptop is out of warranty.

If it can't tell you the temp of the GPU, then chances are it's bricked. Download GPU-Z and check your temperatures with that just in case. What is the model of the GPU? If it is an 8600M GT, 8600M GS, or 8400M GS, then that would explain it.
