    hi!

    I'm really desperated right now :( I've been working on vista almost a year but I'VE GOT ENOUGH!

    I already managed to install XP but I can't install sound drivers :( They just don't work!I read lots of forums but I still can't do it :(

    Please write me somie instructions how to do it because I can't do it on my own :confused:

    I really count on you....BIG THANKS!

    If you already got XP running, and only missing the audio driver, you can download the XP version straight from Realtek's site.

    yeah...I wish it worked....when I install them nothing happens - the setup program works correctly but no new devices are found or installed...

    Download the zip version of the driver, and install using the "Have Disk" method in Device Manager.

    Andy have you tried it or you are just guessing???I need a little bit more instructions to make me toshiba work...

    does your sound card show up in control panel??? On the X205, you have to install the HD Audio bus drivers FIRST, or the sound card and modem aren't even recognized by windows. It that's the case, you need the KB888111 hotfix.

    I'm not sure if that is the problem on your machine, but it is on the X205

    oh btw, on my machine, if I do a CLEAN install of Vista it run much much better tha the OEM Toshiba install. Performs better, and you don't get all of the crap. I'll probably go back to Vista shortly, as I've gone back and forth several times now.
