Does anyone here know what types of hard drives, and how much space the BIOS in a Toshiba A300 (sig) supports? I'm planning on upgrading to either an SSD or a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 7200RPM. Also, is it possible to upgrade, or does it use a proprietory connector?

I have some pictures and will not hesitate to post them on request.

    Thanks in advance.

Any recent notebook should be able to support any SATA HDD or SSD currently in production.

The previous obstacle, from 5 or more years ago, was lack of support for 48 bit LBA which caused a limit at 137GB.
