I been googling like mad, any how has any one messed with the bios not to share so much damn ram for video memory?

I got 4gigs of ram and 1790 MB of it is being allocated for video memory, when uh the 3650 has 512mb dedicated memory. I understand that other models of the A300 come with crappy vid cards which need the shared ram but man it pisses me off :(

I had to expand to 4gb from 2gb of ram because I was at 99% ram usage because of this when playing games, and it seems it has scaled again when I installed 4gb of ram.

    Thanks

i have the exact same specs, but I havent foudn that problem. You realize vista takes about 2 GB regardless of what you're doing.

I'm at 4gb of ram, its been like this for 15 months since i bought it. Never really had a problem with the ram scaling and usage. In task manager i already have 50% of ram used when idling, but really 4gb is fast enough for me. Windows 7 would increase performance but i havent upgraded yet.

Meh, w/e I guess ill have to live with that.

@CZX58 Shadow, What clock rate is your Ram running at? mine is running at DDR2 666 speed , even though I bought DDR2 800 Like you. The Bios is under clocking it. The chipset supports it though :( damn bios

Mines running at full speed. I don't understand why your would do that, because your CPU has a 1066Mhz bus doesn't it?
