    A300D GPU overheating

    my nephew's A300D with the mobility 3470 is severely overheating, or at least i think so.

    hwmonitor shows the GPU running at a stunning 132 degrees celcius, and the CPU at 80ish while playing a game...

    sounds like it should have hit the thermal cutoff... but the fans just blow at full blast and its running fine

    whats the catch? the heatsink was cleaned just days ago by a professional.

    The thermal paste may have been wrongly applied. Also make sure you're not gaming with the laptop on bed. You should have that notebook replaced. It is clearly a defect.
