I thought i'd ask to if anyone else has experienced forced sleep mode with this laptop. It was designed back in 2009 and looks like this, specs included Toshiba Satellite A355-S6879 Overview & Specs - Laptops - CNET Reviews

This issue is not present in Windows 7, only (Windows 8 and 8.1) It do matter if I disable sleep it does it anyway at random. I could be at the desktop or start page, the screen will turn off and it's followed by sleep mode. Al drivers are up to date as well as Windows updates. I've even tried just security updates and Windows 8 prepackaged drivers. I doesn't matter.

I was able to get around it by using a utility called DontSleep and now sleep is permanently disabled. So any ideas, i'm beyond stumped
