I was curious, it seems like all keyboard lights under CTRL and the left ALT button are dim, all the other lights seem to be working but the lights under the keys I mentioned are dimed, they look brownish colored. Any ideas?

Ah ok least I'm not the only one :). XxLblinkxX have you done a clean install? Of so could you message me some tips? My A505=S6965 has been running kinda slow but all we have is the recovery disc creator...

Well, I installed Windows 7 RC when it was out. Right now, you can't get one so I recommend you to not do clean (complete) install until you receive your free Windows 7 upgrade (which is a Month now). Right now just sit back and relax and try to erase all that bloat ware you have, useless programs, etc etc. Its slow because of the junk you have since you bought, you know what I mean... :p

You should still be able to get a key for the RC if you can find a copy of it. I think MS is still handing those out.

So making discs via the recovery system is worthless?

You should always make recovery discs when you first use a new computer just in case something happens with it like a virus or other things
