We have an A55 that has recently quit charging. I haven't been able to get it to charge by wiggling the power cable. Our son was wiggling on the power cord up where it meets the computer.

I've noticed from my searches that this seems to happen alot. Is the power jack connected to the motherboard via a DC-IN connector? Is it pretty straightforward to swap out?

I've only been inside of a laptop one time and when it went back together the leds would come on but it wouldnt power on. It was an old Dell though. I'm a little weary of doing this myself. Thanks.
