    Hey,

Still rocking a Toshiba A665-11Z. It seems to have an issue where the laptop seems to shut off randomly when there's a large amount of system load. I've tried replacing the charger and battery but to no avail. It's not overheating either as I've cleaned the fans and replaced the thermal paste.

I'm convinced the DC jack is at fault, as sometimes the laptop shuts off completely on heavy load, and other times the power lights will go out, and the battery light will start flashing pink (orange and white at the same time, with orange indicating the battery is charging and white indicating the battery is charged).

Having inspected the jack, there doesn't seem to be any damage as such. The DC jack cable seems to be soldered onto the motherboard and I'm not entirely sure what's the best way of removing it. I know you need a heat gun and some cleaner to remove the old soldering, then plugging the new cable in and soldering that back or something along those lines.

    Advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
