Hello all,
My first post here and it can be toughie I think! I just purchased an A70 in Canada which came preloaded with XP Home. I wiped the drive, partitioned, and reloaded it with XP Pro so that I could join it to the domain at my work. Before doing the upgrade, I downloaded all the drivers off the Toshiba website and then did the upgrade to XP Pro. Everything went super smooth but the sound quality is horrible. There are no advanced controls for the sound (the tab is greyed out) and even using Windows Media Player with the SRS controls yeilds very little improvement in sound quality. Tried looking sound boards website for a driver update but it's pretty tough to find one specific for a laptop. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for the future help!

you can try the different sequence of installing the driver.
for example:
1.video driver 2.sound driver 3.Lan driver
or
1.video driver 2.Lan driver 3.sound driver
sometimes it can work.
have a try.
good luck!

I have the A70 and it came with XP Home preinstalled. I upgraded to Pro but I haven't had any of your issues. Did the installation of the Realtek driver go well?
A70 XP Pro upgrade = loss in sound quality?
