I purchased an A75-S229, I wish I had asked about it first. THis chassis had a chronic shorting problem and a fan system that was unusually poorly designed.

Now I'm about to purchase an A505-S6005 and I'd like to know if this is a solid machine or not. I'd like to stay with TOshiba, they apparently have a good reliability record (despite my A75).

Can you tell me how long y ou've had an A505 (especially sn S6005) and if you've had any problems?

    Thanks

I can't really speak for the A505 well, but from what I hear from the members of this forum, it seems like it's a fairly solid machine. Although there are several Asus notebooks that are better priced and have the same sort of performance.
