When I go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel I can see only 2 programs, which I can uninstall. I have just found out that I have more programs/updates to be uninstalled but I have to scroll down to them for about 20 sec. What is the empty space I have between the first two programs to be uninstalled and the others, way, way lower. I have to press PgDn +/- 50 times to get to more programs, which can be uninstalled. I checked the M40's in the stores and they do not have this problem. Anybody knows why and what can be done to fix it?

Virus perhaps? I really don't have a clue! Or perhaps you installed a software with a bogus installer which duplicated empty entries multiple times?

    EDIT

Oh, and if you want to fix it, you could try CrapCleaner for example (http://www.ccleaner.com/), it has a "Add/Remove Programs" tool to remove unwanted entries.

Thanks for the advice. Man, you know everything. I will give it a try.
What about our PCI express card slot. Does it work. Do we have it on our M40 as Toshiba web site states? Have you tried to remove the cover of PCI express card?

Well, since I don't see myself buying off any PCI Express card for the lifetime of the laptop (is there even such a thing as a PCI Express device out there yet?), I didn't try very hard. But it really looks like the plastic cover is there to stay. Someone would have to tell me that it really can be removed before I'll try to force it!

And, well, I don't know everything, but I try to ;)

Note: I double-checked on Toshiba Canada's website, on their M40 page, in the specifications, it is clearly NOT written that a PCI Express slot is present. So it really must be a dummy. Or they chose not to include it in the production units, thus the unremovable plastic piece.
