We are ordering my sister laptop and there is an option for a modem. None or Integrated V.92/56K modem. What is this and do I need it?

It depends on how you connect to the internet.

I guess if you don't know what it is, you probably dont need it.

Back in the day when people had dialup internet, you had to use a 56K modem.

Today you dont really need it, and I have never used myne.

check google for more info on 56K modems.

Oooh! Yeah, we have wireless. I'd cry if we still had dial up.
    Thanks! :D
