Today I received an A105-S4334 as a Christmas gift. I'm enjoying it a lot so far... but I'm baffled as to why I can't seem to find volume controls on the keyboard.

I've tried all the shift, function, and hotkeys... all I can find is a mute button. Surely there must be a way to adjust the volume on the fly w/o going into Windows Volume Control. There's nothing in the manual, or on the Toshiba site.

Any other owners out there have a clue?

Glad to see that I am not the only one who cannot seem to find out how to adjust the volume on the keyboard. I haven't even been able to figure out how to mute it. I thought I found the button to adjust, but I was wrong. I just got the same one as you today and I have a dead pixel. Looks like I wil be taking it back tomorrow. Have you had any? I will post when I find out how to adjust volume. Other than the volume, how are you liking everything?

I just found out how to adjust the volume. The control is not on the keypad. It the front edge of the notebook. Just right of center. It seems like an odd place to me. And this is not the first thing that seems weird placement wise. Going to take some getting use to, but so far everything is wonderful except the one pixel.

I have heard lots of people complaining that the A105s get way too hot. I have had mine on for over 6 1/2 hours straight and I would say mine is barely warm.

My L100 has fn-escape as mute, have you tried that?

For me the Toshiba analog volume control is one of its best features. Along with the hard switch to shut off wireles.

I have a M115 and a A105 both have these options. Fn key + Esc - F12 all do something. You can see the little icon on each key.
