Does anyone notice that this is quite a common problem on toshibas in general? Ive used several models and many have had it. Now, just in case you dont know what an air gap is, its where you can press down on a certain part of the laptop (like the palmrest for say), and you will feel the plastic go in a tiny wee bit before you feel it hit another piece of plastic underneath. What this means, is that there is a tiny space between the two pieces of material...the one that you are touching, and the one that its coming in contact with. Also, another way you can tell is that if its the edge or something, you can visibly see that its raised a slight wee bit.

Now, not saying its a big deal cause its not but if you got it on yours, would it bother YOU? Most people would ignore it, or heck not even notice it. But I guess, us notebook geeks just look for these things eh?

if you need me to clarify bit more, let me know.

There is a solution: double sided spacer tape.
That's also a good solution for flexing keyboards if your lappy has something underneath the keyboard to stick the tape to.

    Pls don't cross post!

Well I only have it on one spot, and that is on the very left edge of the palmrest and about 2 inches in. But obviously its most noticable on the edge. I wont be able to fit spacer tape in there as you would have to tuck it in under the lip.

My keyboard doesnt flex thank god, but thats most likely due to the super snappy keys lol.
