Hi, my new M55-S325 just arrived but unfortunately, the recovery CD is busted. Not that I've messed it up already for me to be digging for the recovery CD, but I'm still worried.

Anyway, would it be safe for me to download all the drivers and install them and the OS separately instead?

Well, you can compile a CD disk of all the drivers, if you really feel like you need them, but I think it would be wiser to just go any get another copy of the Recovery Disk from Toshiba - That's the safest route.
