    Alienware can go die.

    Forever.

Cost me waaay too much money and time keeping up with all the issues and kinks that the systems have. This Qosmio is shockingly powerful for the price I paid, and I'm under the impression that it was used very lightly or not at all upon purchase from ebay. o___o

    $550 got me this:

    Qosmio X775

    i5-2410M
    6GB RAM
    GTX 560M
    120GB SSD
    1600x900 screen

So it's NOT BAD for the money I put down for the machine as a whole. :D I probably wouldn't have gone for it if the machine didn't have the SSD. :p Also, later on, I plan on attempting something with the MXM slot for the GPU. Hoping I can manage upgrading the 560M to something more formidable yet stick within the TDP region. If I can manage an i7-2640M with an 860M, I would be VERY happy with that. :D

But we'll see... that's for later troubleshooting...

Not sure why you would want to do that for, I have the R3 as my main machine, and it still to this day best replacement for a desktop.

For what it's worth, I don't mind much. I've never had an issue with any Toshiba laptop to date and that includes the X505 machine that I had before the Alienware purchases. This will be my third machine from Toshiba and so far, I'm pleasantly surprised by how potent this machine is. It'd be nice to have a full blown i7 again, but oh well. the i5 here is powerful enough to hold me over until I gather up the cash and stuff for the necessary upgrades.

I might just opt for the 2630QM since it's natively supported and all that. ;) Plus, it'll be about twice the firepower of the current chip, giving me the boost I'm kinda craving. xD

What's the point, your alienware is already much better. I rate my machine is still better than all my laptops I have ever had, each has their own purpose.

Because my Alienware in my sig rig hasn't been updated in two months. That 580M is fubar and the motherboard doesn't see the two replacement gpus that I have. So no, it's NOT better. Especially when its only using an HD3000.

I turned on my Alienware in 2011 and never had a single issue since, still running the Windows 7 install. Sound like its cost you more cause you had to buy something else
