    Annoying Squeaking Sound

    Hi ...

    I've just purchased a Toshiba Satellite A200-E530 notebook. Of late, I can hear some weird squeaking sound. It's not very loud but you can it is still annoying. Initially, I thought that it was the fan. However, the sound remains there even when the fan is on. The fan obviously makes some other kind of sound. It could probably be the hard drive but I'm sure that the hard drive makes a different sound especially when it's loading. I could actually hear squeaking sounds (close to the noise of old dot matrix printer). Is this normal and have this happened to anybody else?

    Pls assist me!

    Its maybe the CPU whine with Intel cpu's.
    You can goto youtube and search "cpu whine" and you can listen to one.
    Its pretty normal

    Hi Allan. LOL. The CPU whine sounds more serious! Howover, mine is a rather mile but annoying sound. Gosh. Thanks for ur reply though!

    Is sound the always there? Does it appear after 15 min - 20 min?

    On my laptop, when I start (Unreal Tournament or CuteFTP). The HardDisk begin to make a very harsh sound...

    hi cronos 77. The sounds would definitely appear whenever the batteries are used. I supposed it's really the CPU whine...
