So far I have come up with nothing about this product series. The only reason I know this Pro series exists is because in the Canadian manual for the X200, it is labelled that this manual applies for both the Satellite and Satellite Pro series (I am sure other countries have this labelling as well).

So any insight would be greatly appreciated :)

well then I wonder then what they are going to change here in Canada on the X200

As it is, we only have one X200 model and it comes with Vista Ultimate and a Nvidia 8700M 512MB card :)

The Satellite Pro series are actually aimed at proffesionals and not to an every day user, or even a gamer. That's why they usually come with weaker graphics card, or nVidia Quadro (which is not for gaming).

a Quadro is as strong as the gaming counterpart with the Geforce driver :)

They are the same cards. The quadros are better on the hardware part but the GPU is the same, and the drivers are based on stability + quality rather than performances. So with a tweaked .inf Geforce drivers, it will become a Geforce

Isn't the Quadro actually used for 3D Model creation and workstations?

Yes but like the FireGL, they have the same GPU as the Geforce/Radeon

The reason why they are way more expensive is because they go through higher standard tests, are usually more stable and have higher memory/bus and also better drivers

And their drivers are based on stability + image quality
