Hey guys, I have an old P-105. I use it strictly for my work and nothing else. The current battery lasts maybe an hour on a full charge, so I bought the same replacement(non Toshiba), but same part number PA3479U-1BRS with a bigger capacity(6600mAH), but when I insert the battery it doesn't fully click all the way.

The battery charges fully and lasts a good 3-4 hours which is what I need, however if the laptop is slightly moved, it shuts off. And sometimes it will shut off on it's own. When I flip the laptop over, you can clearly see the battery doesn't fully go down 100% all the way to click in, so the result is the battery disconnecting from the charge plates. The 4000mAh clicks in perfectly. Is it true new laptop batteries have to be worn in a bit? If so, how can I speed up the process? Any tips or tricks you guys know of? HELP!!!!

That's a bad third party quality control issue. Send IT back before your return period is up and look for a different battery. I just bought a third party from Amazon, no problems but have gotten poor ones for my old e1705..hit or miss.

The worst ones I have gotten is from Toshiba, my second one is already at 16% wear after 3 months, 2nd replacement battery. In comparison, my original Asus is at 15% after 2.5 years. Go figure.
