My girlfriend broke her laptop charger the second time. The warranty doesn't cover it the second time because of physical damage (her word). Replacement chargers are rather expensive, but there are some chargers that I see for ~$25 range.

Are all Toshiba laptop chargers the same? I know the voltage(?) needed is different, but what should I keep in mind while choosing?

    Laptop is Satellite L305D-S5934

As long as the numbers and connectors are the same they should work, I am currently using an extra adapter that I had on my Tecra M4 with my Portege M700. If at all possible I would avoid 3rd party power adapters. eBay usually has quite a selection of real Toshiba adapters and that's where I'll usually start if I need an extra one.
