    Hello fellow Toshiba users,

The laptop that I have is a Toshiba A305-S6864 and my wireless network adapter is the Atheros 9281 Wireless Network Adapter.

I have been having this wireless problem for the past week or so. Whenever I would turn on my laptop after shutting it down the night before, I cannot see any wireless networks (when they do exist). I then go to the device manager to notice that it says the network wireless adapter is having problems (it has an orange triangular exclamation mark picture). To fix this problem, I then uninstall and reinstall the adapter which fixes the problem.

However, sometimes when I put the laptop to sleep and wake it up, the wireless network is not recognized. To fix this problem, I would use Toshiba ConfigFree -> Wireless Network Connection -> Repair (Reset IP Address). As one might expect, doing this every day becomes rather annoying. After many calls with Toshiba, have tried the following: Disable and enable the wireless network adapter from the device manager, uninstall and reinstall it from the device manager.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? And how did you fix it? Thank you for your help.

    Regards,
    SSVegeta184

Have you tried removing ConfigFree? The connection software included with Windows is actually quite decent, and it might be something with Toshiba's software.

I actually tried this, and it still doesn't work. I also tried reformatting the computer. Does anyone have any more suggestions? Or does anyone have this driver and are you experiencing any problems?

I'm having the exact same issue with a Satellite A135-S4527 and Atheros wireless adapter. I did some poking around and saw that Service Pack 2 just came out, so I installed that. Didn't help. Seems lots of people are having the same issue. Any news from Toshiba maybe?
