I am completing the installation of xp-sp2 on a pre-installed Vista notebook in dual boot mode. I installed the Sound driver from the Toshiba download site and the sound appears to be fine. However, I am prompted to install a driver for the "Audio Device on High Defintion Audio Bus" which cannot be found. Surprising it wasn't in the Sound package.

    I have a P200-PSPB6.

Check Windows Update. I think what you need is the Microsoft UAA driver. If that doesn't work, then maybe grab the driver off the manufacturer of the chip and not Toshiba. I think it's RealTek but I'm not sure.

I haven't tried Microsoft UAA yet. Yes, it is RealTek. What I tried besides Toshiba's Sound Driver and didn't help: realtek_alc880_xp_167.exe, Realtek WDM_R180.zip, Realtek audio driver WDM_A402.zip.

I tried several UAA versions to no avail : 1.00B3 and 1.01A. I'm going to try the Vista drivers under XP.
