Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum so go easy! I was listening to music while working on my Satellite A-30 and the music started to slow down, speed up again, then just stopped. I shut down iTunes and tried Media Player, same problem. After a few minutes of trying diiferent file types I noticed a crackling noise when I rested my hand just below the keypad to the left of the mouse pad. I tried to play a file again and it worked as long as I was slightly pressing on the case.

I think I have a flaky connection to presumably the sound card underneath, but how can I check this? I'm totally at ease with doing any repair work on a PC but are there any exploded drawings of A30 repairs on the web? BTW this not stopping me using the laptop for my work, but I'm concerned that this problem might be the first sign of something more serious.
