    Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965

Should be an S before the "5965" I mistyped the title of the thread my apologies.

I've tried so many different file names XXXX.fd and XXXX.bin but have had no luck in the recovery! I've tried burning the bootable BIOS recovery disk from Toshiba's site, no luck with that. I can't seem to get a response(blinking light) out of my flash drive when I hold either the Fn+Esc combination or Windows + b combination and boot. The lcd shows nothing so I can't exactly change the boot settings. The only faith I have is using CD drive, it seems to read the CD's I put in and look for the proper file but when it doesn't find it, it stops trying to read it and nothing happens. No beeps or anything at all. Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Fixed:

Holding Fn + F put the notebook into BIOS Recovery Mode and it then read the USB drive with what I assume to be the BIOS.fd file and reinstalled the BIOS.
