Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q890 (Age 3+ years)
Close to a year now, progressively getting worse, my laptop has been crashing with (Event ID) Error 6008 (Hardware I believe) The only thing that would keep it from crashing was having a game or the launcher to the game constantly running. As soon as I would close the game or the launcher the laptop would crash. Which also means never being able to restart the laptop because it would crash before properly shutting down. Logging into windows from a crash often meant up to thirty or more minutes of constantly crashing at Windows login screen before finally getting lucky and being able to click on the game launcher to prevent the crashing. Hibernate is what allowed me to avoid constant crashes daily. Now it would still crash during the game but rarely. Long story short I found a way around the crashes by changing the default settings of Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode / Intel Dynamic Acceleration Mode in the BIOS. As long as one of the two settings are disabled the laptop does not crash anymore. I would like to add that this is all coming from a completely fresh install of windows 7.
What piece of hardware is malfunctioning? Is it my processor? If so, Is that something that can be bought separately or is it attached to the motherboard?
Toshiba over the phone has been 100% useless since I'm out of warranty. Thanks for any useful replies in advance.

Update: Managed to log into widows without crashing (got lucky) with both Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode / Intel Dynamic Acceleration Mode enabled. I Can't install "Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver" from Toshiba Support. It's listed under "Chipset" and it downloads fine but then when I click on the application to run it, it will flash in the taskbar for a split second and disappear without any reason why. Is this another sign of a possible hardware malfunction?
Please I would really like to get this driver installed, any information is greatly appreciated. -
Update: BIOS and all other drivers are up to date based on latest versions released by Toshiba support for my model. The Turbo Boost Technology Driver is the only one that's not able to install for me. MemTest has always checked out fine. I don't think I've run a Smart check before but I've run a lot of similar tests related to my SSD and HDD. For what it's worth, I crash with SSD, HDD and each RAM stick out of the laptop all together and each one individually removed I still crash. I've even deleted the partition from my SSD, disabled it and Installed Windows on my HDD and still crashed. I'm currently running windows on my SSD.

Update: I've reset the CMOS battery by taking it out and even reset the BIOS with this trick here Toshiba Qosmio x505-q860 Bios Password Reset - YouTube thinking it would fix the problem but it didn't.
Guys let's go over the facts. It crashes with a fresh install of windows operating system on both SSD and HDD. It crashes with each ram stick taken out, it crashes with each SSD and HDD taken out. Disabling one of the two, Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode or Intel Dynamic Acceleration Mode in the BIOS... GREATLY REDUCES THE CHANCE OF CRASHING. I haven't crashed once while trying to start windows since I found this trick the other day while trying to start windows. Before I would crash constantly at Starting Windows screen and sometimes for close to an hour before finally getting lucky enough to log in and click on the video game launcher to prevent the upcoming crash if I hadn't clicked on it. No BSOD and event logs only show error 6008 (hardware from what I've read)
I just want some opinions on what piece of hardware people think it could be. I'm just trying to get lucky and have the first thing I buy be the right choice. Guessing Motherboard, CPU (processor) or Graphics Card (somehow)
BIOS - Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode / Intel Dynamic Acceleration
